How do I integrate HerbMail with a custom webhook?

Prerequisites: 

To integrate HerbMail with Custom webhook you will need:

  • Webhook method
  • Authorization (If it's required)
  • Webhook URL

Steps to integrate:

Go to the integrations tab on the Herbmail Dashboard.

  1. Click on Integrations, select main connections.
  2. Click on Add destinations. 

  1. Select Custom Webhook. 

  1. Add Description, then click on Next button

  1. Add the the Custom Webhook URL and press Send a test request button.

Default fields available for integration:

  • UserGeolocation: A string containing resolved identity's City and State
  • SourceDomain: A string containing domain from where the identity was resolved
  • UserAgent: A string containing web browsers details of the resolved identity
  • UserIp: A string containing resolved identity's I.P
  • SourceUrl: A string containing exact page's URL from where the identity was resolved
  • Timestamp: A string containing exact time when the identity was resolved

 

  1. In the popup add the email address to send as a test to Custom Webhook and Press Send. 
  2. Press Done to close the Popup

  • You should be able to find the test request sent to your Webhook URL with test email, custom fields and authorization details in "headers".
  1. Finally, Press the “Next” button

  2. Select the Traffic sources from where you want to receive the data
  3. Click Create Connection.

  1. Select the connections and Click Publish
