How do I use Herb Postal with an HTML template?

Selecting the HTML templates to use in Herbmail Postal

1. Go to Postal
2. Go to Postcard Configuration
3. Follow the steps below to manage HTML templates for Postal:
   
   
   1. Create a new template
   2. Edit a template
   3. Delete a template
4. In the template type dropdown select the HTML template option which will open two dropdowns, the Front template dropdown, and the Back template dropdown
5. Select the templates for Front and Back
6. If you plan to include a coupon with the HTML template:
   1. Follow this guide to upload the coupons
   2. Click on Include Coupon checkbox
   3. Select the coupon group you want to use for your Postal with the "coupon" variable
   4. Make sure the variable "coupon" is included in your HTML template

7. If you plan to include custom fields within the HTML template:
   
   
   • Follow this guide to set up custom fields
8. Click on "Preview" to verify how your postcard will look
   
   
   • If you use a coupon please add a value in the preview modal to make sure the test coupon is generated in your postcard preview
     
   • If you use custom fields please add value for those custom fields to make sure test custom field values are generated properly in your postcard preview
     
     Note: If the preview of your postcard contains test values that you provided for coupons or custom fields, it means that your mapping is correct and you can proceed to the next step.
9. Click Submit

• Click on the Toggle from the top to enable the Postal
  

Managing HTML templates for HerbMail Postal

You can manage your postcard templates in the "Postcard Templates" tab.

Create a new template

1. Go to the Postcard Templates tab
2. Click on the Create Template button
   
3. Enter Description
4. Enter the desired HTML for the Postcard template
   • A sample file for the front of the Postcard template
   • A sample file for the back of the Postcard template(with the coupon variable included)
5. Click Create
   
6. Now you can use that template for the front or back template in your Postal configuration settings.

Edit a template

1. Go to the Postcard Templates tab
2. Click on the three dots next to the template name
3. Click edit
   
4. You can now modify the description or HTML code for the template

Delete a template

1. Go to the Postcard Templates tab
2. Click on the three dots next to the template name
3. Click Remove
   
4. Confirm the removal of the template
   

Note: Removing templates currently in use in your Postal setup will disable the integration.
